VISION
We want to join the Spirit of God in making a significant impact for and with Jesus in Horry County and beyond.
By 2017, our vision is:
1) To see our members increasing in their love of God, to see them increasing in their love for one another and to see them increasing in their love for the lost; 2) To partner in reaching every man, woman and child in Horry County by repeatedly extending the opportunity to accept or reject the reconciliation of Jesus Christ and be included in a local body of believers; a. To encourage and equip every believer to use their spiritual gifts for the work of ministry; and b. To help plant 100 new churches in Horry County 3) To reach beyond Horry County and impact our world; a. To network with other churches and denominations in the United States to plant churches that target unchurched groups of people; b. To partner with believers in other countries to establish new churches
How Are We Going to Do It? 1) We are committed to letting function determine the structure of the church. Our function is to love God, love one another and love the world. a. Worshipping together congregationally is very important to us, so we challenge every member to commit to participate in a weekly worship service. b. The early church knew how crucial it was for believers to stand together, so that no one had to stand alone. Such togetherness won’t happen in large groups. That is why Redemption Church, like the New Testament Church, emphasizes small groups. Acts 2:46 states, “They continued in the Apostles’ teaching, breaking bread, fellowship and prayer.” These are the elements every small group must practice in order that true discipleship and loving community result. c. Ministering to the lost, loving the world and caring for those who can’t care for themselves is the ministry to which every believer is called. At Redemption Church, we enable believers to use their God-given gifts and passions to impact the world around them for Christ. 2) We are committed to prayer. Only through fervent and effective prayer, both individually and corporately, will be able to discern God’s will and be faithful to the ministry of Redemption Church. 3) We are committed to yielding and surrendering to the Holy Spirit, knowing that it is only through the Spirit of God that we can do the will of God. 4) We are determined to use the Book of Acts as our blueprint for Redemption Church.
