Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What's the Sunday experience like? A. The Sunday experience is a casual, relevant time of praising, worshipping and knowing God, so everything we do centers around Him. Most Sunday services start with live music led by a team of musicians from all walks of life, aimed at lifting up the Name and Person of Jesus Christ, and drawing us into His presence. The music ranges from energetic to reflective, and lyrics run the gamut from Scripture to modern worship, with even an occasional original song thrown in!
The target of the Sunday message is believers. While we are strongly evangelistic at our core, we believe our time together is best spent celebrating and worshipping God, and encouraging followers of Christ to know Him better and more intimately, so that their lives will be a walking witness in the world outside the walls. Messages are geared at teaching believers how to live real life for a real God in the real world.
Q. When and where are the church services? A. The Sunday Celebration Service is at 10:15 am in the gym at Conway Christian School (find a map here). Torch and Ignition meet in the same location at 6:30 pm each Sunday night. Growth Groups (small groups) are scheduled at various times throughout the year.
Q. How should I dress? A. Because God looks on the heart of men and not the outside, we don't get hung up on the issue of dress. So, dress comfortably-- just make sure it's modest. For most of us, that means casual dress like jeans or khakis and various assortments of shirts, ranging from oxfords to concert tees (we even have a Redemption t-shirt with the slogan "These ARE my church clothes," if that helps you understand our style...). However, if you like to dress up in your finest for church, then have at it! We'll welcome you as you are!
Q. Do you provide anything for my kids? A. Redemption Church loves kids! We love parents, too! That's why we provide the KidGlow nursery for ages birth-3 years each Sunday morning. Plus, our exciting Kidsplosion! ministry for kids ages 4-9 meets Sunday morning immediately following the opening music and announcements. There's also a great evening ministry especially for teens and "tweens." Torch, just for ages 10-12, and Ignition, for teens, meets each Sunday night at 6:30 pm. There's great music, food, giveaways, fun and solid, practical Bible teaching.
Q. What denomination is Redemption Church? A. Redemption has one affiliation: We belong to God. As a new launch, Redemption receives some financial support from The Missionary Church, but our basic philosophy concerning denomination is that Scriptural believers come in all shapes, sizes, colors and backgrounds-- even denominations. So, we've elected to simply be a Bible-based, Jesus-centered church. We want to focus on growing the Kingdom, and we'll let God grow the Church. That's the highly non-churchy answer to the question. If you'd like more detail about what we believe, see the Who we are pages(s).
Q. Who can I contact for more info? A. We're pretty accessible by email, so try that first. If you want to speak to someone directly by phone about Redemption, our pastors would love to hear from you!
